Each year, Diana Adamic magically organized our end-of-the-year Capstone Symposium, assisting with event logistics, arranging the Student Center, organizing the catering, coordinating volunteers. On the day of the event, she worked indefatigably from the morning late into the night, helping us clean up and put things away. The day after, she would send us a meticulous email, assessing the event, troubleshooting issues, and planning for next year. Diana brought a level of professionalism and elegance to the Capstone Symposium that we deeply appreciated.
Diana passed away in fall 2019 along with her husband, Steve Salika, their daughter, Tia, and dear friend, Berenice Felipe. All four were beloved members of the PCS community. Tia and Berenice, who were to graduate with the 2020 senior cohort, had planned a joint Capstone project studying coral reefs.
We mourn their loss and celebrate their lives.
